David smiled back saying, "Quite good. Except that I hardly seem to bump into anyone else. Perhaps I'm always going to places at the wrong timings. How about you? How do you like it here so far?"

Laurel shrugged. "It isn't bad, but there aren't that many Slytherins to talk to. I mean, I love having friends from other houses, but I do wish that I could have a few Slytherin friends." She thought for a few minutes. "Other than that, I love it very much here."

"I hope so. I don't want to be all alone in the common room." Laurel smiled at her remark. Being alone wasn't bad for her, but she did want some friends. She'd get totally busted if she went into the Ravenclaw common. That was the last thing that she needed.

David laughed. "I'm sure you wouldnt be alone" He thought and brushed his hair aside. It was bothering him and he wondered if he should cut his hair short.

Laurel smiled at David. "Your hair finally annoying you?" she asked. She had watched it grow out and thought that he might want to get it trimmed to keep out of his face. "I don't mean that badly," she said.

"You pull it off very nicely though. You could be a rock star if you wanted." Laurel smiled at him. Then, she started looking around. "It's rather strange that we haven't seen anybody besides just us," she said. "I wonder where everybody is."

"I didn't think so. I just think that you could pass for one." Laurel wanted to be a rock star. She loved having a band that she could go back to when she was done with term. "Have you done much with music over the summer?"
